ERM has been assisting Municipalities, Utility Companies, Green Energy Providers and Airports from Washington, DC to the Tidewater of Virginia with the acquisition of property rights to allow their projects to proceed on schedule. In 2014, ERM pursued and was approved as a VDOT Pre-Qualified ROW Consultant firm. This allows ERM to acquire ROW throughout the State of Virginia to assist our Transportation clients. We realized this step was necessary to fully assist Municipality and Design Build partners.  ERM expanded its service offerings to include in-house title search and title certification as well as the management and delivery of appraisals and review appraisals.

The VDOT process of acquisition is much more in-line with most of our County Government and Airport clients in the State of Virginia. We will continue to service our Utility Company clients employing the acquisition process we created, evolved and strengthened over the past 45+ years. ERM has managed the upgrade of multiple streetscape enhancement project tasks, including the acquisition of easements and ROW’s, to the coordination of underground utilities. While ERM follows the VDOT process to insure our client’s projects follow the state and federal guidelines of acquisition, we negotiate with your constituents.
